People who study this field of magic learn to work with all aspects of sound. Amplification and silence effects are learned early on, with more powerful and specialized uses coming as the student progresses. Given that many spells require a caster to speak or chant phrases, the ability to create fields of silence can become surprisingly effective.
Sound is capable of generating force. At the most advanced levels, sonic magic can be used to shatter weapons, armor or bones. Like Light magic, sonic spells can be cast in even the heaviest armors.
