One of the greatest challenges in writing fantasy is balancing world building. Many readers enjoy fantasy because of its capacity to take them to another world, full of wizards, spells, monsters, and fantastical places.
As a writer, my task is to balance how often I introduce these new concepts to my audience. Part of the challenge with the Rebirth of the Fallen series is the sheer wealth of world building I need to take on.
Fortunately, we live in a modern era where it’s possible to create a Wikipedia to catalogue everything.
As each book is published, I intend to post all the relevant content here. Initially, things will be a touch sparse. While I introduced many concepts with Citadel of the Fallen, I didn’t want to inundate my readers. Too little world building, and you’re left with a boring world, but too much world building often results in an unreadable book.
