Necromancers generate many of their effects by manipulating Astral spirits. Necromancers can summon and control such spirits, oftentimes using them to animate the bodies of the dead. As students progress, they learn to work with stronger spirits, giving them access to more powerful undead.
At advanced levels, necromancers can learn to create permanent undead servants. These can be modified and strengthened. Necromancers can learn to call, question, and destroy souls. Finally, as they master simultaneously operating within both the real world and the Astral plane, invisibility, phasing, and other abilities become available.
